Light-colored and silky-soft, they harmoniously round off the insert and binder.

They are presented in different formats, made from 100% tobacco with the classic ingredients Deli sand leaf (Sumatra) for the wrapper. The binder Besuki (Java) and the filler is a mixture of Indonesian, Brazilian and Cuban tobacco.

This beautiful three-master sailed the ocean from the second half of the 19th century to the 1930’s. Neither the deepest seas nor the highest waves posed a threat to the Jacob van Meer. The sailing ship split the most raging waters.
In the spring of 1872, Jacob van Meer started her maiden voyage. Final destination: Indonesia. The crew soon discovered the exceptional Indonesian tobacco leaves and loaded their ship with it. Since then it only shipped the brown gold. Although the Jacob van Meer no longer sails today, its name lives on in the form of a beautiful and extensive range of cigars of exceptional quality. They are all made with love and passion. The binder comes from Besuki, a town on the island of Java. The precious Sumatra Deli sand sheet is used for the wrapper. This gives the cigars their refined mild flavor.
The filler consists of a mix of Indonesian, Brazilian and Cuban tobaccos carefully composed by the blender.
